George Merrill

Based in Enfield, New Hampshire, I have been working in mixed media since 2014. In 2019, I moved from refurnishing furniture to creating and building one-of-a-kind steamships. I use found objects, specifically antique pieces from the United States and abroad.

I combine my passion for antiques with my love of collecting small boats and ships. My artwork is a brilliant myriad of textures and materials that tell a unique and compelling story. My work is extremely detailed and has a memorable impact on the observer in any room, large or small.

Originally from Vermont, I am a self-taught artist, but my parents were an inspiration to me. My mother was an artist specializing in watercolor and acrylics, while my father refinished antique furniture.

On January 20th, 2022, the NH Chronicle televised Dry Dock Designs on WMUR. The article and video can be found here. Also check out my social media sites below, though Facebook is where I'm most active.
